Inara Serra was one of the central characters featured in the 2002-03 Fox Network television series Firefly. Played by actress Morena Baccarin, she was introduced in the first-aired episode of the series, "The Train Job" and appeared in every subsequent episode. The character also appeared in the 2005 spin-off feature film Serenity, directed by series creator Joss Whedon.
