- "Fate is more just than men! Immortality is not for the greedy -- or the desperate!"
- ―T'Challa
Immortality represents the potential for an individual to theoretically live forever, without the troubles of advancing age. Usually, an individual will age naturally until they reach adulthood, at which point, the aging process retards greatly or stops altogether. This is not to suggest that an immortal person cannot be killed. They are just as susceptible to injury as anyone else, unless they also possess the power of invulnerability.
- The 1965 Japanese sci-fi film Frankenstein Conquers the World presents the character of Furankenshutain, who is basically a regenerated incarnation of the original Frankenstein Monster. The story presents the notion that Frankenstein's heart will continue to live and beat independent of a physical body so long as it receives nutrients. In fact, it will even grow a body for itself, with amazing restorative abilities. In theory, the Frankenstein Monster presented in the film is un-killable.
