IG-100 MagnaGuards are a fictional model or robot droid featured in the Star Wars multimedia franchise. They first appeared in the 2005 feature film Star Wars Episode III: Revenge of the Sith, and played an even larger role in the Star Wars: The Clone Wars animated television series by Lucasfilm Animation.
Special traits[]
- MagnaGuards could continue to function so long as they had at least part of their physicality intact. For example: One can behead a MagnaGuard, and it will still continue to function, as Obi-Wan Kenobi learned when he first encountered them on the Invisible Hand in 19 BBY.
Equipment[]
- Electrostaff: MagnaGuards utilized two-handed melee weapons called Electrostaffs. A charged electrostaff could parry against lightsabers without being destroyed.
