The Human Vapor (Gasu ningen dai 1 gô) is a Japanese feature film of the science fiction genre. It was directed by Ishirô Honda with a screenplay written by Takeshi Kimura. It was produced by Toho Company and premiered in Japan on December 11th, 1960. The movie was distributed in the United States by Brenco Pictures Company and MGM on May 20th, 1964.

  • The original Japanese release name for this film is Gasu ningen dai 1 gô, which redirects to this page. The movie was re-named as The Human Vapor for the 1964 U.S. release.
  • The tagline to this film is "Half Human! Half Beast! It Destroys! It Kills!"
  • There are sixty credited cast members in this film.
  • A soundtrack for The Human Vapor was produced by SLC and released in 1995. It was also included as part of a three-disc set by Toho Music in 2012, which also featured music from The H-Man and The Secret of the Telegian.
  • In U.S. releases of the film, The Human Vapor was often double-billed along with Gorath.
