The Hudson River is a body of water that flows primarily through the U.S. state of New York. It flows north to south and is 315 miles long. The river originates in the Adirondack Mountains of Upstate New York, flows southward through the Hudson Valley, and eventually drains into the Atlantic Ocean at New York Harbor, between New York City and Jersey City.

After blowing up a warehouse with pumpkin bombs during his fight with Spider-Man, the Hobgoblin took off in his battle van. Spider-Man clung to the vehicle and managed to get inside. The vehicle's auto-guidance system sent the van off Pier 83 into the Hudson River. The two continued to fight, and the Hobgoblin's finger lasers set off a self-destruct console. He seemingly died in the explosion. [1]
