Hoster was a minor character featured in the 1994-1998 science fiction television series Babylon 5. Played by an unknown actor, he appeared in the second episode of season one, "Soul Hunter".
Biography[]
Hoster was a security guard stationed aboard the Babylon 5 space station during the 2250s. He worked under Security Chief Michael Garibaldi. Hoster frequently patrolled the undeveloped areas of the station colloquially referred to as "Down Below". He seemed either oblivious or disinterested in some of the more amoral activities taking place there and even a local con man would routinely wave hello as he walked on by.
In 2258, Hoster and several other guards followed Michael Garibaldi as they searched the station looking for a renegade Soul hunter.

- The character of Hoster was created by screenwriter J. Michael Straczynski and director Jim Johnston.
- Hoster is never credited by name in "Soul Hunter" and is only identified when the con man waves to him. The spelling of his name can be found on the Engish subtitles of the Babylon 5: The Complete First Season DVD collection.
