A higher being refers to any number of nebulous concepts. They are ancient immortal entities, whose origins predate modern society, and very often predate the very origins of life on Earth itself, or perhaps even the Universe. They are gods, cosmic entities, and overwhelming forces of nature. They are the absolute apex of all known power in reality and their very existence defies description. They may be angels, demons, the Powers That Be, demigods, and the Old Ones.
Higher beings are ancient, immortal, and well-nigh indestructible. They possess great power either through cosmic or mystical sources. Some may harness the energies of the universe itself, while others are masters of magic & sorcery. Some may even be shape-shifters.
