Hideto Ogata is a fictional business owner featured in the Godzilla film series. Played by actor Akira Takarada, he appeared in the original 1954 film, Gojira. Many of Takarada's scenes were re-edited into the 1956 Americanized version of the film, Godzilla, King of the Monsters. In the English-dubbed version of Godzilla, King of the Monsters!, Hideto Ogata was voiced by actor James Hong.

- What became of Ogata following the encounter with Godzilla is unknown. Presumably, Emiko Yamane and he were likely married at some point, assuming of course that Kyohei Yamane ever gave his blessing.
- In Godzilla, King of the Monsters, the character is credited only as Ogata.
- Playing the role of Hideto Ogata is actor Akira Takarada's first film work. He received top-billing in this movie.
