"Chapter Eighteeen: Brave New World" is the nineteenth episode of season four of the superhero fantasy series Heroes and the seventy-ninth and final episode of the series. It was directed by Adam Kane and written by series creator Tim Kring. It first aired on NBC on February 8th, 2010. In this episode, Claire and Noah are buried beneath the Earth by Samuel and struggle to get out while Lauren Gilmore searches for them. Matt Parkman is attacked until Peter and Sylar arrive to help him out. Peter has to try and convince Parkman that Sylar is reformed. Hiro comes to grips with the aftermath of his recent surgery and embarks upon the final leg of his journey. Samuel decides to take the carnival public, which may result in the deaths of thousands of people.

Allusions[]
- The title of this episode is taken from the 1931 novel Brave New World by Aldous Huxley. The novel anticipates developments in reproductive technology, sleep-learning, psychological manipulation, and operant conditioning that combine to profoundly change society. It is considered one of the hallmarks of Dystopian fiction of the 20th century.
- Hiro Nakamura intones the phrase "Great Scott" after receiving the letter from Charlie. This is an oft-quoted phrase spoken by Perry White - managing editor of the Daily Planet in the Superman family of comic book titles.
