Heroes is an American television series of the science fiction and superhero fantasy genres. It was created by Tim Kring and produced by Tailwind Productions and released through Universal Media Studios. The series ran four seasons on NBC from September, 2006 to February, 2010, totalling seventy-eight episodes. The premise of the show involved a mysterious event that spontaneously gifted a group of seemingly unconnected individuals with superhuman abilities. The show blended personal story-arcs of each of the primary characters, but tangentially linked them together through an evolving common story-arc. Despite the title of the show, not all of the gifted individuals demonstrated heroic ideals, and some were actually completely self-serving with their powers if not downright villainous.
Season two of Heroes was a truncated season with only eleven episode due to the 2007 WGA strike.
Season three of Heroes, which consisted of twenty-five episodes, was divided between the "Villains" storyline (episode 3x01-3x13) and the "Fugitives" storyline (episode 3x14-3x25).
The season three premiere episodes, "The Second Coming" and "The Butterfly Effect" both aired on the same night.
The season four premiere episodes, "Orientation" and "Jump, Push, Fall" both aired on the same night.
The season four episodes, "Upon This Rock" and "Let It Bleed" both aired on the same night.
