Biography[]
Hermann Kroft was a member of the Nazi Party and worked as a henchman to the Red Skull. Along with another crony named Van Raat, he was trusted with recovering a large volume of money with the task of delivering to the Red Skull. Kroft had no intention of handing over all of the money however, and went into his room at the Brightstone Arms Apartments to divvy it up. The Red Skull, suspecting Kroft's treachery, appeared inside the room. While playing Chopin's "Funeral March" over a Victrola machine, he shot Kroft in the chest, killing him. [1]
