Herbert Pencroft was one of the main characters featured in the 1995 Canadian television series Mysterious Island. Played by actor Gordon Michael Woolvett, he appeared in all twenty-two episodes of the program. The character is loosely based on that of Bonadventure Pencroft - a principal character featured in Jules Verne's 1874 novel L'Île mystérieuse.
