The character of Daimon Hellstrom was created by writer Gary Friedrich and artist Tom Sutton. He first appeared in an introductory cameo in the "A Woman Possessed" story from Ghost Rider, Volume 2 #1 in September, 1973. This issue carries the approval stamp of the Comics Code Authority. This issue is UPC barcode number 759606040223 01211. Colorist Matt Brooker is credited as D'Israeli in this issue. Letterer John Roshell is credited as John Gaushell in this issue. Warren Ellis becomes the regular writer on the series beginning with this issue. He will continue on in this capacity until the series' conclusion. This is the first appearance of Gunyon, who is a detective with the New York City Police Department. This is the first appearance of Annie Hecht, who is a detective with the New York City Police Department. This is the final appearance of Avram Siegel as a living person. He is a murder victim, who is partially killed off-panel; likely by evisceration. "Narconauts" is the pet name that Ingenuity Lee gives to his customers who are strung out on K. This is the first appearance of Annie & Sue, who are both prostitutes. Zahgurim takes on the form of George Washington, who was an American soldier, statesman and politician. He was the first man appointed as the President of the United States. Satana Hellstrom appeared last in Hellstorm: Prince of Lies #10.
