The Hellbound Heart is a novella written by famed horror author Clive Barker and published in paperback format by HarperCollins. It was first printed in November, 1986 in the third volume of the Night Visions anthology series published by Dark Harvest. [1] The story was later adapted into the 1987 horror film Hellraiser, which was directed by Clive Barker. The story was subsequently released as a stand-alone novella in 1988, following the success of Hellraiser and its sequel, Hellbound: Hellraiser II.
