Hell
Hell is where the bad kids go. Its not hard to find. Its just south of Heaven, and slightly south west of New Jersey. Some people even hypothesize that Hell may actually BE New Jersey, but to date, there is no empirical evidence that either proves or disproves this theory. Like New Jersey though, it is a place that is not looked upon with great favor and nobody really wants to spend any time there if they can avoid it.
Basically, there are two types of beings that exist in Hell: Demons and lost souls. Demons may either be fallen angels or nightmarish entities born in Hell itself. The souls of the damned are those people who have shuffled off the mortal coil, but were just too damn mean to ever make it into heavy. Basically, the place is filled with a-holes.

- Dis
- Also known as the City of Dis, it is the capital necropolis of Hell. It is ruled by the Satanic triumvirate, consisting of Lucifer Morningstar, Azazel, and Beelzebub. The Tower of Dis, also known as Lucifer's Palace, is located at the center of the city. Entrance into Dis is guarded by the Gates of Hell. Manning the gates is a one-armed, axe-wielding demon named Squatterbloat. Dream of the Endless came to the City of Dis in search of his stolen helm. It had been acquired by a demon named Choronzon, who challenged Dream to a game of wits for the rights to the helm. Dream proved victorious in the contest and walked freely from Hell, having reclaimed his property. (Sandman Vol 2 4)
- Erebus
- Erebus is one of the many dimensions that make up the after-world reality known as Hell. It is also known as the Plains of Erebus and is populated by millions of lost souls. A demon known as Nybbas was charged with sending souls to the Plains of Erebus. Nybbas attempted to kill the occult mage John Constantine, but Constantine tricked him, threatening him with banishment to Erebus, where he would be tormented by the revenge-driven souls of all those he sent there. - Gates of Hell
- The Gates of Hell are literally a set of Gates located in the inter-dimensional after-world known as Hell. They surround the barren wastelands of Hell's capital city, Dis, which contains Lucifer's palace. The gates themselves are forged with the tormented souls of the damned, as well as the transmogrified bodies of various demonic minions - presumably as some form of punishment. The demon prince known as Etrigan has been known to storm the Gates of Hell from time to time. One of the lesser guardians of the Gates of Hell is Squatterbloat, who is a minor minion outfitted with a battle-axe for a hand. Dream of The Endless came to Hell in search of his missing helm. Squatterbloat called him a clown and denied him entrance. Dream was significantly more powerful than Squatterbloat, and easily cast him aside, thereby entering the City of Dis. (Sandman Vol 2 4)
