Helix is an American science fiction television series produced by Sony Pictures Television. It began airing on Syfy on January 10th, 2014. The series was created by Cameron Porsandeh with Ronald D. Moore, Lynda Obst and Steven Maeda serving as executive producers.
The series stars Billy Campbell as Alan Farragut, Kyra Zagorsky as Julia Walker, and Mark Ghanimé as Sergio Balleseros. Repeat guest stars on this season include Jordan Hayes as Sarah Jordan, Neil Napier as Peter Farragut, Luciana Carro as Anana and Hiroyuki Sanada as Doctor Hiroshi Hatake.
Helix follows a team of scientists from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention who travel to a research facility in the Arctic to investigate a potential outbreak of disease. While there, they find themselves stuck in a life-or-death situation that could decide the future of humankind.
