Notes & Trivia[]
- The Masters of the Universe, He-Man, and all related media were created by the Mattel corporation as part of a toy line in 1983. The concepts were later adapted into comic books and the He-Man and the Masters of the Universe multimedia franchise, which includes a 1983 animated television series, a 1987 live-action feature film, and a 2002 animated television series.
- This episode is production code number MU091.
- The exact original airdate for this episode is unknown.
- The morality lesson for this episode is given by Teela.
- The Widgets first appeared in the season one episode, "Evil-Lyn's Plot".
- This is the first, and to date, only known appearance of Biro.
- The Wind Raider is shown to have space-faring capabilities.
- He-Man has the ability to push the moon. Don't even get me started on the logistical impossibility of this.
- This is the final appearance of Mer-Man for the next thirty-seven episodes.
Allusions[]
- The Widget signal serves the same function as the Bat-signal in DC Comics' Batman comic titles.
Bloopers[]
- When Jacob and the Widgets talk on the beach, Lara says "How awful!" and presses a hand to her cheek. In the next shot, both her hands are in her lap.
- Squinch's spear appears and disappears from shot to shot during the scene where the Widgets are cheering.
- In the scene where Trap Jaw is talking to Mer-Man about the Coridite, his mechanical arm switches from side to side.
Quotes[]
- Mer-Man: Trap Jaw, you not only look stupid, you are stupid!
....
- Mer-Man: Aww, He-Man is always ruining my action. Some day, somehow I'll show 'em!
- Trap Jaw: Sure, Mer-Man. It'll be the same day the ocean turns into peanut butter, heh!
