Biography[]
Hayley Fitzpatrick hailed from Gotham City in the reality known as Earth-37. She attended class at a private Catholic school where she met rebel bad boy Roy Harper. Hayley and Roy began having a romantic relationship with one another, but were kidnapped by a man named Crocker, who was the bodyguard for crime boss Otto Saunders. Otto himself took instruction from Bianca Steeplechase.
Hayley's psychopathic tendencies came to light as they were in the midst of being rescued by Batman and Batgirl, and she formed a bond with Bianca. She even took to honoring Bianca's clown-like appearance and adopted the pseudonym Harley Quinn.
After Bianca died in a final battle with Batgirl, Harley escaped from the scene. She returned to the house she grew up in, shot her parents and younger brother in the head, then gleefully skipped off down the street.
