"Secret of the Sizzling Sparklers!" is the title to the first story featured in the second issue of the first Hawkman ongoing comic book series. The story was written by Gardner Fox with artwork and inks by Murphy Anderson. The second story is called "Wings Across Time!" and is by the same creative team. Both stories were edited by Julius Schwartz. This issue shipped with a July, 1964 cover date and carries a cover price of .12 cents per copy.

Notes & Trivia

• The character of Hawkman was created by writer Gardner Fox and artist Joe Kubert. He first appeared in The Brave and the Bold #34 in February-March, 1961 in a story titled "Creature of a Thousand Shapes!" The character is inspired by a previous iteration named Carter Hall, who was created by Gardner Fox and artist Dennis Neville. This character was introduced in Flash Comics #1 in January, 1940.
