- This series is not to be confused with the 1973 title The Haunt of Horror, which was a two-issue digest prose magazine by Marvel Comics.
- Roy Thomas was the Editor-in-Chief of Curtis Magazines for the first four issues of this series. Marv Wolfman was the Editor-in-Chief for Haunt of Horror #5.
- Gabriel Rosetti - the Devil-Hunter, was introduced in the first story in Haunt of Horror #2.
- Satana Hellstrom vignettes begin with issue #2.
