Harold Allnut is a fictional genius and a supporting character featured in comic books published by DC Comics. He is associated with the Batman line of comic titles. He made his first appearance in The Question #33 in December, 1989. Harold Allnut was a mute, which gave some the impression that he was of low intellect, but in truth, he was a mechanical genius. He was discovered by the Penguin, who manipulated him for his own ends. However, after being rescued by Batman, he became a member of Batman's inner circle, and took to residing the Batcave.
