Biography[]
Harlech was an adult human male from the planet Drogheda. He was a military officer during the reign of Queen Sarna and was a captain of the Drogheda Royal Guard. Although Harlech professed to being devoutly loyal to the queen, he secretly wanted the power of the monarchy for himself. Despite this, led his men in armed conflict against the Droghedra Revolutionaries, who sought to usurp the monarchy and replace it with a democratic government. Queen Sarna placed an off-worlder named Lando Calrissian as her strategist against the revolutionaries, and gave him authority over Harlech and his men.
During this period of civil unrest, the Drogheda Royal Guard captured several prisoners during a skirmish at the Mount Meru Mine. Bringing them back to the Droghedra Citadel, a man named Dar was interrogated by Calrissian. Harlech entered the room and, upon seeing Dar armed with a weapon, shot him in the back before he could surrender any information to Lando.
Lando then incorrectly surmised that Harlech was a spy who had been secretly feeding information to the revolutionaries. When Harlech took offense to the accusation, Lando responded by throwing one of his own guards towards him, then running off.
Lando eventually came to realize that he was fighting for the wrong side. Returning to the citadel, he took Queen Sarna captive, at which point, Harlech revealed his true intentions by ordering his men to kill them both. Unfortunately for him, Droghedra rebels had raided the citadel and captured all of his men. One of the rebels brought Harlech down with a stun weapon. Following the forced exile of Queen Sarna, Harlech was presumably stripped of rank. What became of him during the governmental transition is unknown. [1]
