Halloween Kills is an American feature film of the horror genre. It is the twelfth installment in the Halloween film series, the tenth installment in the original series, and the ninth film in the series to feature the character of Michael Myers in the role of the main antagonist. It is the second film in the soft-reboot series following 2018's Halloween. The film was written and directed by David Gordon Green, and co-written by Danny McBride and Scott Teems. It was produced by Blumhouse Productions and Trancas International Films and distributed through Universal Pictures. It was originally slated for an October, 2020 release, but was delayed due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Its projected release date was October 15th, 2021.

- Production on Halloween Kills began on September 16th, 2019. Principal filming wrapped on November 3rd, 2019. It was originally slated to be released on October 16th, 2020, however the COVID-19 pandemic forced the studios to delay theatrical release until 2021.
