Description[]
An unidentified alien race established a planetary mental health facility in the Keystone Quadrant. As a means of providing additional to support for their charges, they artifiicially bio-engineered a race of sentient evolved animal creatures to serve as caretakers to the patients. When the alien founders left the so-called Halfworld, maintenance of the planetary facility was governed by robotic stewards. Eventually, these robot stewards developed artificial intelligence and abandoned Halfworld as well, leaving the "Halfworlders" in charge. One of the Halfwordlers, based on the visual template of an Earth raccoon, became known as Rocket Raccoon.
