Hal Jordan is a fictional pilot, super-hero and space cop, and a major character featured in comic books published by DC Comics. He was created by writer John Broome and artist Gil Kane and first appeared in Showcase #22 in October, 1959. Following a stint in Showcase, Hal Jordan branched off into his own Green Lantern ongoing comic book series, and has starred in numerous sequel titles, as well as multiple spin-offs and team books such as Justice League of America and Green Lantern Corps. He has been presented in different forms of media including live-action films and animated projects.

A character who is implied to be Hal is featured in a brief seen in the CW Network television series Arrow. Played by an unknown and uncredited actor, this individual makes a one-half second appearance in the premiere episode of season four, "Green Arrow".
The only thing known about this man is that he appears to be a white male who was a patron at a bar in Coast City in 2010. He wore a flight jacket with the name JORDAN embroidered upon a patch. Jordan walked past Oliver Queen, who was sitting at the bar for a meeting with A.R.G.U.S. leader Amanda Waller.
