Haiti, also known as the Republic of Haiti, is a sovereign state located on the island of Hispaniola in the Greater Antilles archipelago of the Caribbean Sea. It occupies the western three-eighths of the island, which it shares with the Dominican Republic. It's capital city is Port-au-Prince.
In popular fiction, Haiti is known for stories involving voodoo and the occult. This includes ritualism, animal sacrifices, invocation to the spirits or saints, and of course, the creation of zombies. Real zombies mind you, not the flesh-eating Walking Dead kind.
