Haggis' cabin[]

Haggis' cabin is a small wooden structure located on Black Ridge in the mountains of West Virginia. It is about five miles west of the nearest town. The aging crone known as Haggis lives there. The cabin is accessible by either a small dirt road, or a wood and rope bridge that crosses a dry river bed. Surrounding the cabin are a series of strange earth-hewn mounds. Towards the back of the cabin is a large pumpkin patch, which has also been used as a graveyard for occult rituals. The cabin itself is constructed completely of wood. Though small, the main living area is rather spacious. No electricity runs to the cabin, and Haggis keeps it alight by way of numerous candles. It is decorated with various odds and ends, as well as occult artifacts including skulls. The cabin is infested with various rats and spiders.

Many people are unaware of Haggis or her whereabouts, though some townies can approximate where she lives. In 1988, a teenage member of the Wallace clan named Bunt pointed Ed Harley in the direction of Haggis' cabin, but was not willing to travel the entire distance himself.

Haggis used the pumpkin patch graveyard as a means of summoning a demonic spirit of vengeance known as "Pumpkinhead". When someone loses a loved one, they can bring their body to Haggis where it will be buried in the pumpkin patch. Haggis would perform a ritual that would summon Pumpkinhead from the spot where the body is buried. At which point, Pumpkinhead would take vengeance against those responsible for the death of whosoever is buried there. Ed Harley did this when his son Billy was accidentally killed by some motorcyclists. [1] Andy Mills did likewise when Dallas and Johnny Pope were responsible for killing Andy's wife Angela in a hit and run accident. Five years after that, Ricky McCoy brought the body of his sister Sara McCoy to Haggis' cabin after she had died due to the actions of Billy Bob Hatfield and Tommy Hatfield. [2]
