Haggis is a fictional witch and a supporting character featured in the Pumpkinhead film series. She first appeared in the 1988 film Pumpkinhead where she was played by actress Florence Schauffler. The character also appeared in the direct-to-video films Pumpkinhead: Ashes to Ashes and Pumpkinhead: Blood Feud, though this time portrayed by Lynne Verrall.
Biography[]
Haggis was an old witch that lived out in the Black Ridge mountain region of West Virginia. Haggis was practiced in various dark arts and was proficient at summoning a demonic spirit of vengeance known as Pumpkinhead. In 1988, a man named Ed Harley entreated upon her expertise in calling Pumpkinhead after his young son Billy was run down in a motorcycle incident. [1]
Several years later, a man named Andy Mills had Haggis call upon Pumpkinhead so he could avenge the death of his wife Angela, who had been killed in a hit and run accident caused by future county sheriff Dallas Pope and his brother Johnny. [2]
Five years after that, a young man named Ricky McCoy sought Haggis out so she could summon Pumpkinhead again and send him after members of the Hatfield family, who were responsible for the death of his sister Sara. [2]

- The Haggis costume worn by Florence Schauffler in Pumpkinhead weighed about sixty-five pounds. [3]
- Haggis did not appear in Pumpkinhead II: Blood Wings. A new character was created named Miss Osie, who was played by actress Lilyan Chauvin
- Haggis has no connection to the Scottish sheep pudding known as Haggis.
