Biography[]
Gregor Framkin was a television program manager who operated out of Los Angeles, California. He was in charge of a children's "edu-tainment" television series called "Smile Time". When the show's ratings began to take a dive, Gregor got in bed with Wolfram & Hart in the hopes of revitalizing it. This resulted in the appearance of four demons who took the form of puppets. The demons took control of "Smile Time" and took control over Framkin as well. The leader of the group, Polo, turned Framkin into a human puppet.
When Angel - the C.E.O. of Wolfram & Hart's L.A. branch was inadvertently turned into a puppet himself, he sent Charles Gunn and Lorne to Framkin's office to apply some pressure. Framkin, manipulated by Polo, told them that he would not be intimidated by the law firm's strong-arm tactics, and believed that public opinion would weigh in on the side of a seemingly innocent children's television series, as opposed to a faceless evil mega-corporation. As Lorne and Charles turned to leave, Lorne called him a "bad person".
After they had left, Polo relinquished control over Framkin's body, who was in great pain and wanted to die.
