"The Shark Goes on the Prowl Again!" is the title of the first story featured in issue #28 of the second Green Lantern ongoing comic book series published by DC Comics. - The character of Hal Jordan, aka Green Lantern, was created by writer John Broome and artist Gil Kane. He first appeared in Showcase #22 in October, 1959 in a story titled "S.O.S. Green Lantern!" He received his first ongoing Green Lantern comic book series in August, 1960.
- This issue includes a one-page "It's Hard to Believe But..." feature.
- This issue includes house ads for Strange Adventures #163 and The Flash #144, and Hawkman #1. The Hawkman issue shipped on February 20th, 1964. The Flash issue shipped on March 5th, 1964.
- This issue includes a house ad for The Brave and the Bold #53, featuring the Atom & the Flash. This issue shipped on February 27th, 1964.
- This is the second appearance of The Shark. He appeared last in the first story featured in Green Lantern #24 called "The Shark That Hunted Human Prey!". He also appeared as an illusion in the second story, "The Strange World Named Green Lantern!", in that same issue.
- Tom Kalmaku's wife is referred to as "Terga" in this issue. Later stories will identify her as Tegra Kalmaku.
