Green Lantern: Emerald Knights is an American animated feature film of the superhero fantasy and science fiction genres. It is based on the Green Lantern family of comic book titles published by DC Comics. The film is a quasi-anthology piece with multiple stories of the Green Lantern Corps wrapped within an over-arching framing story. Segments were created by different directors and writers. The movie was produced by DC Entertainment and Warner Bros. Animation and released direct-to-video on June 7th, 2011.

- The character of Hal Jordan, aka Green Lantern, was created by writer John Broome and artist Gil Kane. He first appeared in Showcase #22 in October, 1959 in a story titled "S.O.S. Green Lantern!" He received his first ongoing Green Lantern comic book series in August, 1960.
