Godzilla vs. Destoroyah is a Japanese feature film of the science fiction genre and part of the greater Godzilla film series. It is the seventh and final installment in the 1990s Heisei period of films in the franchise. The movie was directed by Takao Okawara with a script written by Kazuki Ohmori. It was produced by Toho Company, Ltd. and released theatrically in Japan on December 9th, 1995.

  • The tagline for this film is "Gojira Shizu", which translated means, "Godzilla Dies!".
  • Godzilla vs. Destoroyah premiered in the United States on VHS and DVD on January 19th, 1999. It was released through Columbia TriStar Home Video.
  • This film marks the final appearance of all characters, including the Hesei era version of Godzilla and Miki Saegusa. "Junior" becomes a fully-grown replacement for Godzilla at the end of the film.
