"Attack of the Giant UFO!" is the first mini-episode of the Godzilla Island television series, released exclusively in Japan. It was directed by Shun Mizutani with a script written by Takahiko Masuda. It first aired on the Nippon Television Network on October 6th, 1997.
Synopsis[]
Mothra is crawling across Monster Island along with other monsters such as Gorosaurus, Anguirus, and Rodan. Meanwhile, Godzilla sits sleeping in a cave.
Meanwhile, a military commander sits bored in his office at G-Guard headquarters. A floating robot assistant buzzes around his head, alerting him to something on the monitors.
Suddenly, an alien space craft appears in the sky and streaks towards Monster Island. Godzilla awakens.
