Live-action
Live-action refers to the presentation format used in films and televisions. Media that falls under this heading is comprised of living actors working on realistic sets or locations. Most science fiction films and programs are live-action, but many also use traditional animation techniques as well as computer-generated images. In the 1960s, a format commonly referred to as supermarionation was used for several television programs aimed at children such as Captain Scarlet and the Mysterons.
