"Part 1: A Protean Escape" is the first issue of the Ghostbusters: Get Real comic book limited series published by IDW Publishing. - Ghostbusters was created by writer and executive producer Harold Ramis along with screenwriter Dan Aykroyd. It was brought to life as a feature film in 1984 by director Ivan Reitman and spawned a sequel named Ghostbusters II in 1989, also directed by Reitman. A remake film, Ghostbusters: Answer the Call was released in 2016 and directed by Paul Feig. Another film installment, Ghostbusters: Afterlife which continues the original continuity, was released in 2021 and was helmed by Ivan Reitman's son, Jason Reitman. The Ghostbusters franchise has also spun-out several animated projects as well as comic book titles and merchandise.
