Ghost Bear is a fictional civilian survivalist, possibly of Native American origin, and a minor character featured in the 30 Days of Night comic book franchise published by IDW Publishing. He first appeared in 30 Days of Night: Return to Barrow #5 in July, 2004.
Biography[]
Ghost Bear was an adult male resident of the town of Barrow, Alaska. He was part of the resistance force that protected the town against the second vampire onslaught, which was led by a German vampire named Werner. Ghost Bear worked in the same squad as another man named Connor.
A horde of vampires attacked the Generator 3 station, and a man named Tom radioed John Ikos for reinforcements. John marshalled together the members of Ghost Bear's squad to move out and lend assistance. [1]

- The character of Ghost Bear was created by writer Steve Niles and artist Ben Templesmith.
- It is possible that Ghost Bear made an appearance prior to 30 Days of Night: Return to Barrow #5, but if he did, it was only as an unidentified background character.
