Ghidorah, the Three-Headed Monster is a Japanese science fiction film of the "kaiju" or super-monster genre. It makes use of the Tokusatsu or "suitmation" style of film-making. It is part of the Godzilla film series and is the fifth installment in this line. The movie was directed by Ishirô Honda with a screenplay written by Shin'ichi Sekizawa. It was produced by Tomoyuki Tanaka of Toho Company, Ltd. and premiered in Japan on December 20th, 1964.
