One man named Gerard (unclear whether Gerard was his first or last name), was a North African film director, who was creating a science fiction film in the Sudan. His director of photography was a man named Sid. The Wakandan king, T'Challa, came to the Sudan with an unconscious criminal named Nick Scarpa. When T'Challa collapsed on Gerard's set, he contacted the Sudanese Army, who held T'Challa for questioning. T'Challa later stole equipment from Gerard's movie set in order to escape. (Black Panther 9)
