Gerald Ford was an American politician and statesman born on July 14th, 1913. He served as the 40th Vice President of the United States under U.S. President Richard Milhous Nixon. When Nixon resigned from office, Ford assumed the role of the 38th President of the United States. He served a partial term in this capacity from 1974 to 1977. Gerald Ford passed away on December 26th, 2006 in Rancho Mirage, California at the age of 93.
