The Georgia System is a stellar system featured in the mythos of the Firefly television series and the spin-off feature film Serenity. It first appeared in the premiere episode of Firefly entitled "The Train Job". The Georgia System lies on the fringe of Alliance space and consists of several terra-formed frontier worlds, many of which serve as colonies for miners, traders, bandits and other underhanded individuals. The Alliance has little interest in this area of space, but they do exert their influence by sending cruiser's out to patrol the various sector from time to time.
