Biography[]

George Stacy was a middle-aged man who worked as a police detective for the New York City Police Department in New York City, New York. He had a teenage daughter named Gwen.

George Stacy's highest profile case was hunting down the mysterious Spider-Woman, whom he believed was responsible for the murder of Peter Benjamin Parker - a fellow student who had been transformed into a Lizard monster. Along with Daily Bugle publisher, J. Jonah Jameson, Stacy led a very public manhunt for the Spider-Woman, unaware that she was actually his daughter, Gwen.

George went to a concert hall where Gwen's band, the Mary Janes, were scheduled to play. Gwen was the drummer for the band, and was late to her own gig. A massive Russian criminal named Aleksei Sytsevich raided the club because he was hired by the Kingpin to kill George Stacy. Gwen took note of this and changed into Spider-Woman to fight him.

After the fight, Aleksei was unconscious and George pulled his gun on Spider-Woman announcing his intention to arrest her. She removed her mask, exposing her secret identity. Shocked, disappointed and unsure of what to do, George told his daughter to leave the scene. [1]
