Biography[]
George Bach worked as a male nurse at Metro-General Hospital in Manhattan, New York City, New York. One of the most notable patients to fall under his care was a former marine named Frank Castle. Castle was brought in following a massacre at Central Park, which resulted in the deaths of his wife and two children. When Castle was brought in, he was placed under Bach's care. Castle flat-lined, but then suddenly, and quite miraculously revived. Bach took Castle out of Metro-General, but this action earned him the enmity of district attorney Samantha Reyes, who arranged to have Bach fired from the hospital.
Sometime later, Frank Castle re-emerged on the streets of Hell's Kitchen - now as the gun-wielding vigilante known as the Punisher. A young legal assistant named Karen Page took it upon herself to investigate Castle's background, and learned about Bach. The two arranged for a meeting by the riverfront where Bach told her about his experience with Castle. [1]
