Garfield High School is a fictional learning center featured in comic books published by DC Comics. It first appeared in Black Lightning #1 in April, 1977. The school also played a major role in the 2018 television series Black Lightning.
Description[]
Garfield High School was a public high school located in the Suicide Slum neighborhood of Metropolis. The principal of the school was Jefferson Pierce. On the Black Lightning TV series, Garfield High School was a private school and located in the neighborhood of Freeland. Jefferson Pierce had worked out a deal with the local gangs that the school was to be treated with a hands-off policy with regards to The 100's criminal enterprises.
