Galway is a city in Ireland. It is located in the province of Connacht in County Galway.
Actor Farrell Pelly, who appeared in two episodes of the 1950s sci-fi anthology series Tales of Tomorrow was born in Galway on March 1st, 1891.
Actress Nora-Jane Noone, who played the role of Lucy in the 2009 BBC television mini-series The Day of the Triffids was born in Galway on March 8th, 1984.
Galway plays a large role in the "Buffyverse" continuity, as this was the birth place of Liam, who would go on to become more popularly known as Angel. In the year 1753, Liam was a worthless drunkard, who wandered about the village spending his father's money. A vampire named Darla took an interest in him and offered him the opportunity to "see the world" and made him a vampire. Liam left Galway soon after. [1]
