Futureworld is an American science fiction film and the sequel to the 1973 movie Westworld by Michael Crichton. A short-lived spin-off series, Beyond Westworld, was produced in 1980, but only three episodes of the show were aired on CBS before it was shelved. The film was released theatrically in the United States on August 13th, 1976. Futureworld was directed by Richard T. Heffron and written by Mayo Simon and George Schenck. The movie stars Peter Fonda, Blythe Danner, Arthur Hill, John Ryan, Stuart Margolin and Yul Brynner reprising his role as the robot gunslinger for a brief cameo appearance.
