French Stewart is an American television and film actor born in Albuquerque, New Mexico on February 20th, 1964. His first work in the science fiction genre was playing the part of Lieutenant Ferretti in the 1994 feature film Stargate. In 1995 French played a survivor in "The Farthest Man from Home" episode of Space: Above and Beyond.
French is best known for playing the part of quirky alien communicator Harry Solomon on the 1996-2001 NBC television series 3rd Rock from the Sun. He was introduced in the series' pilot episode, "Brains and Eggs" and appeared in all 139 episodes of the show.
French Stewart also turned his talents towards voice work and provided voices for several Disney produced animated projects including Buzz Lightyear of Star Command, which was a spin-off of the popular Toy Story film franchise. French was the voice of Rentwhistle Swack on three episodes of the show.
In 2003, French appeared in another sci-fi comedy project, Inspector Gadget 2, this time taking the lead role of the robotic secret agent himself, Inspector Gadget.
In 2011 French Stewart played Doctor Andrew Covel in episode 2x13 of Stargate Universe called "Alliances". This was his second role in the over-arching Stargate mythos.
