"The Nightmare Warriors" is the first issue of the Freddy vs. Jason vs. Ash: The Nightmare Warriors comic book limited series published by WildStorm Productions and Dynamite Entertainment. It is a sequel to the Freddy vs. Jason vs. Ash six-issue limited series from 2008. The issue was written by Jeff Katz and James Kuhoric with artwork and inks by Jason Craig. It was colored by Gabe Eltaeb and lettered by Wes Abbott. The story was edited by Scott Peterson with Kristy Quinn as assistant editor. Joseph Rybandt oversees editing on the entire series. The cover art illustration was rendered by Arthur Suydam. This issue shipped in August, 2009 and carries a cover price of $3.99 per copy (US).

- The two spectators in the movie theater are Alice Johnson and her son, Jacob. Alice is a "dream warrior" and is the central protagonist in A Nightmare on Elm Street 4: The Dream Master in 1988 and A Nightmare on Elm Street 5: The Dream Child in 1989. Jacob Johnson was born in the fifth movie.
- In a bit of a meta-wink, the character on the movie screen that Alice and Jacob are watching is Deadite Ash from Army of Darkness.
