Biography[]
Frank Payne was originally an agent of S.H.I.E.L.D., who was given the cover identity of a costumed super-villain called the Constrictor so he could infiltrate a criminal cartel known as The Corporation. During this time, he used the civilian alias of Frank Schlichting. Payne suffered a nervous breakdown during the time period. He cut ties with S.H.I.E.L.D. and embraced the life of a super-powered criminal in earnest. The Constrictor's primary weapon was an adamantium coil that he usually used as a whip.
