The Forever People is an American ongoing comic book series of the superhero fantasy and epic sci-fi/adventure genres. The series was published by DC Comics and ran for eleven issues on a bi-monthly shipping schedule from March 1971 to November 1972. The series was created by writer and artist Jack Kirby and is the second series in Kirby's "Fourth World" meta-event mythology after New Gods. Kirby wrote, drew, edited and rendered the cover art illustrations for all eleven issues of the series. Vince Colletta was the inker on the first five issues of the series, after which, Mike Royer took over the inking chores for the remainder of the title.

The Forever People were originally an assemblage of five youths from the planet Earth, each one of whom was specifically selected by Highfather Izaya of New Genesis and plucked from different points of time and brought to before him. They were given new names and sent off as adventurers as part of a social experiment that Highfather was conducting. Each of these newly dubbed "Forever People" were given a Mother Box, and in times of need, they could touch the Mother Box and invoke the name "Taaru", which would summon the enigmatic deity the Infinity Man to aid them.
