- The character of Foggy Nelson was created by writer Stan Lee and artists Bill Everett and Steve Ditko.
- A version of Foggy Nelson was featured in the 2003 live-action feature film Daredevil. He was played by actor/director Jon Favreau. The character did not appear in the Elektra spin-off feature. Favreau would go on to direct the first two Iron Man feature films. [1]
- In the Earth-X reality, Foggy Nelson was responsible for sending the Kingpin to prison and was seen wearing a Daredevil costume, causing some to believe that he actually was Daredevil. [2]
- Foggy Nelson was believed dead for some time, but was actually placed into the Witness Protection Program.
- Foggy Nelson once carried a torch for Karen Page. He tried to convince her that he was really Daredevil and enlisted the aid of a costume maker named Melvin Potter to help him stage a faux battle in which Nelson was to emerge victorious. Potter donned the costumed identity of the Gladiator and was prepared to kill Nelson, but the real Daredevil arrived in time to save him. [3]
